Meet the Founder

Teresa has dedicated her professional development to working with children and families. She has worked with children and families in different capacities; from being a nanny to an advocate working for national and state organizations such as Los Angeles Unified School District, and the Human Rights Campaign.

She always knew she wanted to work with children and pursued her bachelor's in Child and Adolescent Development. Teresa also took courses in Early Childhood Education. She worked as a preschool teacher and a nanny to families with children ages 0 to 15.

Through her work, she realized that parents, families and external circumstances play a role in the well-being of children. During her studies as a graduate student, she learned about Urie Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory. This theory states that: a person is shaped by the complex interactions of interrelated systems. These systems include the nuclear and extended family, community, school, parent’s work, policies, and legislation.

Leading her to work on a macro level in educational policy. Here, she worked with families and the marginalized communities to uplift their voices.

Most recently, Teresa has worked with first-time parents as a nanny/ consultant. She understands that this is a life changing moment in a family and person's life, and she is grateful to join this transformative journey.
